Europe's consumption of carbonated soft drinks is set to reach 55 billion litres by 2026. In 2021, it was 53.5 billion litres - an increase of 0.4% year-on-year since 2016. Germany is the largest consumer of soft drinks on the continent, with 13.5 billion litres consumed in 2021. The UK, France and Poland are the next biggest markets. Romania's consumption has grown by 4% year-on-year since 2016 while the Netherlands has seen a 3.8% decline.
