Mauritian fertilizer import is set to reach an estimated 7,000 metric tons by 2026, growing at an average of 2.1% each year. In 2021, the country reached 6,050 metric tons, ranking 115th in the world. Iran, Brazil, Spain and Thailand were the top four countries in terms of fertilizer import. Meanwhile, Mauritian fertilizer export saw a sharp decrease of 33.1% to 1,660 metric tons in 2021. Since 2007, the country's supply of fertilizer has dropped by 25.4%. In 2021, Mauritius was ranked 68th in the world, with Zimbabwe taking the lead. Norway, Belgium and Finland followed as the next three countries in the ranking.
