Burundi's import of milk powder saw a sharp decline of 40% in 2021, down from 26,930 kilograms in 2020 to just 16,170 kilograms. Since 1998, demand for the product has dropped by 5% on an annual basis, leaving the country in 130th place in 2021. Iceland, with 16,170 kilograms, came in at number one. The Philippines, Indonesia and Algeria followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
