Korea's consumption of pesticides is expected to drop by 1.8% year-on-year to around 15,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a decrease of 3.5% since 1995. In 2021, Korea was the 28th largest consumer, with Uruguay ahead on 16,600 metric tons. The US, Brazil and Argentina respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Korea's imports of pesticides are forecast to decrease by 22.2% year-on-year to around 27,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a fall of 11.5% since 1995. In 2021, Korea was the 8th largest importer, with Egypt ahead on 108,740 metric tons. Thailand, Germany and Taiwan respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Korea's exports of pesticides are expected to rise by 2.3% year-on-year to around 306,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 6.1% since 1995. In 2021, Korea was the 6th largest exporter, with Belgium ahead on 267,610 metric tons. Germany, Saudi Arabia and the UK respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
