Cattle production in Jamaica is set to decline by 7.9% annually over the next five years, dropping from around 62,000 heads this year to just under 39,000 in 2026. This follows a 6% yearly decrease since 1966. Jamaica ranked 147th in the world for cattle production in 2021, behind Guyana at 62,000 heads. India, the United States and China were the top three producers, respectively.
