China is the world's leading exporter of candy, set to reach an estimated 371 million kilograms by 2026. This is an increase of 2.4% year-on-year on average, since 1997, when the supply grew at a rate of 3.8% annually. In 2021, China was the second largest exporter, behind Germany at 321.9 million kilograms. Mexico and Belgium were the third and fourth largest producers respectively. Chinese candy imports are expected to reach 87.9 million kilograms by 2026, a 3.4% year-on-year average growth rate since 1997, when the demand increased by 8.8% annually. In 2021, China was the ninth-largest importer, behind Poland at 71.8 million kilograms. The UK, Germany and the Netherlands were the second, third and fourth largest importers respectively.
