Fiji is set to import 25 thousand metric tons of coconuts by 2026, up 2.6% from 21 thousand metric tons in 2021. Demand for coconuts has risen 3.4% annually since 2017. However, coconut production in Fiji dropped 31.5% in 2021, to just under 10 thousand metric tons. This was a 16.2% decline compared to production in 1966.
