Spanish imports and exports of frozen fish are expected to reach around $1 billion and $1.03 billion respectively by 2026. This is according to figures released by the European Union, which show that demand for Spanish frozen fish has grown at an average rate of 0.9% per year since 1994, and supply has increased by 4% per year since then. In 2021, South Korea was the leading importer of Spanish frozen fish, with imports totaling $962 million. Japan, Thailand, and South Korea respectively ranked second, third and fourth in this ranking. Norway was the leading exporter of Spanish frozen fish, with exports totaling $964 million in 2021. Russia, the United States, and Chile respectively ranked second, third, and fourth in this ranking.
