Russia's frozen fish import and export are both set to grow steadily over the next five years. In 2021, Russian frozen fish imports totalled $823 million, a 0.8% increase year-on-year. Since 2001, Russian demand has grown by an average of 4.3% year-on-year. Russia ranked seventh in the world in 2021, with the United States leading the way at $784 million. Japan, Thailand and South Korea filled out the top four spots. Exports are also expected to grow, reaching $3.3 billion by 2026 from $2.8 billion in 2021 - an average year-on-year increase of 2.9%. Since 2001, Russian supply has grown by an average of 7% year-on-year. In 2021, Russia ranked second globally, with China in the top spot at $2.8 billion. The United States, Russia and Chile occupied the next three spots.
