Brazil's shellfish exports have taken a hit in 2021, with a year-on-year decrease of 12.6%, bringing the total close to $27.4 million. This is a 11.5% drop since 2000. Slovakia led the rankings at $27.4 million, with Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia coming in at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Meanwhile, Brazil's shellfish imports are expected to reach $1.27 million by 2026, a 1.8% decrease from 2021's figure of $1.39 million. This marks a 5.7% drop since 2000. Indonesia was number one in the rankings with $1.39 million, followed by Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
