In 2021, New Zealand was ranked 78th for total fabric import, with Azerbaijan ahead at $20.5 million. Indonesia, China, and the US were ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. Fabric export from New Zealand saw a sharp decline in 2018, falling 68.2% to $1.1 million from $3.4 million in 2017. Since 1994, supply has decreased by nearly 40% each year.
