Uganda’s import of methanol is set to reach 1.5 million kilograms by 2026, an increase of 3.9% annually since 2021. Since 2005, demand in the country has risen 11.3% year-on-year. Meanwhile, export of methanol is predicted to drop 2.6% per year to 4,930 kilograms by 2026. Since 2014, the Ugandan supply has grown 8.6% annually. The country ranks 72nd in 2021, overtaken by Namibia at 5,780 kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United States rank 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.
