Since 1996, the demand for Colombian Methanol has risen 5% annually. Exports of the product from Colombia are projected to drop from 265 thousand kilograms in 2021 to 226 thousand kilograms by 2026, a decrease of 2.6% year on year. Despite this, the supply of Colombian Methanol has risen 31.9% every year since 1996. Colombia was the 54th largest exporter of Methanol in 2021, with South Korea coming in first at 265 thousand kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States were the next three biggest exporters.
