Ghana's Methanol exports plunged by 79 percent to 145.5 kilograms in 2018 compared to 2017, when it was 690.84 kilograms. Year-on-year, the country's supply dropped by 58 percent. Ghana was ranked number 10 globally, with 4.08 billion kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States ranked second, third and fourth in this order. Meanwhile, Ghana's Methanol imports rose by 61 percent to 1.26 million kilograms in 2017 from 783 thousand kilograms in 2016. Since 2001, the country's demand increased by 73 percent year-on-year.
