Russia's Methanol exports are expected to increase by 1.8% year on year on average to reach 2.13 billion kilograms by 2026. In 2021, the country was sixth in the ranking, with 1.91 billion kilograms, overtaken by the Netherlands. Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United States respectively were the second, third and fourth biggest exporters. In 2016, Russia imported 696,310 kilograms of methanol, a decrease of 91% from 7.58 million kilograms in 2015.
