This year, Hungary exported 57,290 kilograms of methanol, a decrease of 70.6% compared to 2020. The country has seen a decline of 52.5% in methanol exports since 1998. Colombia overtook Hungary in the 2021 rankings, exporting 57,290 kilograms of methanol compared to Hungary's number. Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States came in at second, third and fourth place respectively. Since 1997, Hungary has seen a 4.4% year-on-year increase in methanol demand.
