Macedonia's imports of methanol are expected to reach around 250,000 kilograms by 2026, down 1.2 percent from the 269,000 kilograms imported in 2021. Since 1999, imports have risen by 13.2 percent year on year. Exports of methanol from Macedonia fell by 91.9 percent to 851 kilograms in 2019, from 10,560 kilograms in 2018. Since 1999, exports have declined by 30.7 percent year on year. The country was ranked 75th in 2019, overtaken by Botswana with 851 kilograms. Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States were ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
