Burkina Faso's animal feed imports are set to reach nearly 10 million kilograms by 2026, according to a recent report. This represents a 0.2% annual growth rate since 2021, when the country imported 9.8 million kilograms. Since 2000, demand for animal feed in Burkina Faso has increased at an average rate of 3% per year. In 2021, the country ranked 106th in the world, with Uruguay overtaking it with 9.8 million kilograms. Germany, Belgium and Ireland were the second, third and fourth largest importers of animal feed, respectively. Burkina Faso previously ranked 114th in 2018, when it was overtaken by Burundi, who imported 40,000 kilograms. Germany, Belgium and the United States were the second, third and fourth largest importers in that ranking.
