Nepalese demand for dried fruit is set to soar to $299,150 by 2026, growing at a 2.8% year on year average rate. This is an increase from $254,870 in 2021. Since 1999, demand has jumped by 5.8% each year. In 2021, Nepal ranked 107th for dried fruit imports, with Seychelles leading at $248,370. Germany, the United Kingdom and China came in second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Nepalese exports of dried fruit are projected to reach $6,110 by 2026, a 1% year on year decrease from $6,500 in 2021. Since 2014, supplies have dropped by 7.8% annually. In 2021, Nepal was 100th in the ranking for dried fruit exports, with Botswana taking the lead at $6,500. Germany, the United States and Chile ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
