Filipina frozen food exports are expected to increase by almost $2.3 million over the next five years, reaching $9.7 million by 2026. Since 2008, the country's supply has grown by almost 37%. In 2021, the Philippines ranked 44th in exports, while El Salvador overtook them at $7.4 million. China, Spain and Mexico followed as the second, third and fourth-largest exporters. Meanwhile, frozen food imports are forecast to reach $577.8 million by 2026, up from $485.5 million in 2021, growing at an annual rate of 2.9%. Since 2001, demand has grown by 7.7%. In 2021, the Philippines were the ninth-largest importer, while Malaysia surpassed them at $485.5 million. The United States, South Korea and Japan held the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
