Guyanese demand for pet food imports is set to increase by 3.4% year on year, the average rate since 1997. In 2021, the country was the 110th biggest importer of pet food, with 1,105,400 kilograms imported. This figure is expected to rise to 1,355,200 kilograms by 2026. Mozambique overtook Guyana in 2021, becoming the 109th biggest pet food importer with 1,105,400 kilograms imported. The United Kingdom, France and Italy follow, ranking 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
