Mexico’s fishing equipment exports are expected to reach $16 million by 2026, up from $15 million in 2021. This represents an average annual growth of 1.1% since 1995. In 2021, the country placed 22nd in the ranking, overtaken by Finland at $15 million. Japan, the United States and Malaysia followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, imports of fishing equipment are predicted to drop 0.7% annually, to $6.2 million by 2026. Since 1995, demand has grown by an average of 2.1% each year. Mexico ranked 44th in 2021, behind the Philippines at $6.5 million. Japan, South Korea and Singapore were the second, third and fourth largest importers respectively.
