Plastic product sales in Britain are set to reach nearly €24 billion by 2026, up from €23.3 billion in 2021, according to a recent report. This represents a 0.1% average annual increase since 2013, when the market was down by 1.2%. Last year, France overtook the UK to take fourth place in the rankings, with Italy, France and the UK taking second, third and fourth place respectively. British plastic imports are projected to reach $20.6 billion by 2026, up from $19.3 billion in 2021, at a 0.9% average annual rate. Since 1998, demand has increased 2.2% year on year. Last year, Belgium came in ahead of the UK in eighth place, with the USA, Germany and France taking second, third and fourth place respectively. Finally, British plastic exports are estimated to reach $12.9 billion by 2026, up from $12.2 billion in 2021, at a 0.8% average annual rate. Since 1998, the supply of plastic products has grown by 1.8% year on year. Last year, Poland overtook the UK to take 16th place in the rankings, with the USA, Germany and South Korea taking second, third and fourth place respectively.
