The UAE is set to reach a significant milestone in its solar capacity by 2026. The country's solar supply will grow an average of 5.3% year on year, raising total capacity from 2,610 megawatts in 2021 to 3,480 megawatts. This marks a 130.1% increase since 2014. At the same time, solar energy consumption in the UAE is expected to grow 5.4% year on year, from 0.05 exajoules in 2021 to 0.07 exajoules in 2026. This is a 74.1% jump since 2018.
