Argentina is set to spend $2.54 billion on defence in 2026, according to new figures. This marks a drop of 2.7% year on year, meaning defence expenditure has fallen by an average of 8.9% since 1967. In 2021, New Zealand overtook Argentina with defence expenditure of $2.83 billion. China, India, and Russia were the next three biggest spenders, in that order.
