Ecuador's defence expenditure is set to increase to $2.4 billion by 2026. This figure is up 0.7% year on year from 2021, when it was $2.2 billion. Since 1965, the country has seen a 2.4% year on year decrease in demand. In the 2021 rankings, Ecuador was number 56, with Hungary coming in ahead at $2.2 billion. China, India and Russia were numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
