Global pulses production is set to reach around 101 million metric tons by 2026, up from 94 million metric tons in 2021. On average, it will grow by 1.3% year-on-year – the same rate of growth since 1966. India is the world's biggest producer of pulses, at 24 million metric tons in 2021. Myanmar, Canada and China round out the top four. Greece saw the biggest jump in production, with a 28.5% year-on-year increase, while Iraq experienced the biggest decline, down 28.9% year-on-year since 1966.
