Verizon Communications Inc. has announced that Mike Maiorana has been named to two regional board of director positions. As regional director, Mike Maiorana has been responsible for regional marketing, sales, retail, customer service, and company expansion.
Maiorana's promotion leaves him serving on the board for both the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. He oversees over 4,500 personnel and an operation that accumulates over $3 billion every year.
Verizon Communications Inc. is a telecommunication service composed of both Wireline and Domestic Wireless segments. Verizon earned over $14.5 billion last quarter.
Verizon's six month share price has grown 2%. On a semi-annual basis, the stock price has strengthened by over 13%. Company sales have increased at a rate of nearly 9% over five years.
Verizon serves roughly 104 million connections and is known as the nation's fastest 4G network.
Verizon Certifies M&A ePAD
M&A Technology, which provides mobile technology for education and government clients, has confirmed that their new ePAD has been certified for use by Verizon Wireless.
The new tablet will have a touch and multi-touch interface and HD graphics. Supported by Windows 7 Professional, Adobe flash, multi-tasking features, and cloud enhanced 3G connectivity, the new ePAD ensures maximum productivity and accessibility.
To meet the needs of the government, health care, and education industries, the tablet will have built-in security features. The HD screen will run at a 1366 x 768 resolution and holds a webcam and built in speakers and microphone.
The ePAD has the Intel Atom N450, between 4 and 5 hours of battery life, and 2 gigabytes of RAM.
