Spain is a quite closed market: only 33% of demand is satisfied by imports, one of the lowest values together with Italy. Portugal and Vietnam are among the few trading partners that saw a yearly average increase of their export to Spain in absolute terms. Together with Italy, Spain is the country where the small scale independent retailers channel still has a sizeable presence. However, it is constantly losing groug against other channels.
