Reasons to buy

Enterprise IT spending is anticipated to follow an upward trend driven by demand from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large enterprises alike.

Buoyed by strong local demand Russian businesses are expected to increase their core ICT spending, or at least maintain it at the same levels in 2013.

Russian respondents anticipate that X% of their IT spending in 2013 will be on hardware, software, and communications combined, which is mostly similar to their spending in 2012.

As enterprises look towards hosted data centres and cloud infrastructures as a measure of cost reduction, there is huge scope for technology providers operating in the hosted data centre services, communications and application development domains.

Kable’s recent survey shows that the largest proportion of IT staff members has been resourced on applications and IT infrastructure, as Russian enterprises are focused on the smooth and effective running of their business critical applications.

Key Highlights

SMEs have reported their highest IT spending on software (X% of the total IT budget) and services (X%), while large enterprises have dominated the investments on communications (X%) and consulting (X%).

Russian businesses are increasingly spending with third parties, primarily with technology (product) vendors, and have allocated X% of their total IT budgets to such providers

The recent survey reveals that despite the global economic slowdown putting pressure on IT spending, Russian firms have allocated X% of their software budget to enterprise applications in 2012.

The need for enterprises to integrate their core business applications with customer facing applications and other advanced analytical tools, is driving the demand for new application development & integration and related security services

Russia is still dependent on its legacy fixed and mobile networks, and this is reflected in its investments in fixed voice and mobile voice, which account for an average of X% and X% of total telecom budgets respectively.
