BMI View: Growth in Tanzania's mobile andadvanced data segments will be driven bycompetition as well as increased investment innetwork expansion by operators. The discounting ofinactive SIMs, however - in particular as Halotelenters the market - will see slower growth in somequarters. Furthermore, the continuing fall in theprice of mobile devices relative to tablets andlaptops will impede substantial growth in wirelinebroadband. Growth in wireline voice will alsocontinue a negative trend, as the incumbent TTCLrestructures and focuses more on its mobilebusiness.
