BMI View: Serbia's economy - and consumer electronics market - recorded weak performance 2013-2015as a combination of recession and dinar depreciation saw households defer spending and substitute forcheaper models. Our forecast envisages conditions will ease from 2016, and gather pace through theforecast period, including a marked acceleration in GDP and consumption growth alongside dinarappreciation. This provides upside to our forecast, and we believe will support a device spending CAGR of7.4% over 2016-2020 to USD917mn in 2020. Smartphone upgrades are a key opportunity, but after agreater extent of deferred upgrades in the computer hardware and AV segments 2013-2015, there ispotential right across the devices market.

- AV Sales: USD135mn in 2016 to USD175mn in 2020, corresponding to a CAGR of 6.7%. There is alsopent-up AV upgrade demand set to be tapped from 2017, but with the digital camera market on apermanently lower trajectory as a result of smartphone cannibalisation the segment will underperformover the medium term.

- Handset Sales: USD305mn in 2016 to USD402mn in 2020, corresponding to a CAGR of 7.1%.Smartphone upgrade demand will drive the market over the medium term, though as a result of saturationwe do envisage a deceleration in the later years of our forecast.
