BMI View:
Poland's insurance market offers significant potential for growth. Rates of coverage in both thelife and non-life sectors remain underdeveloped compared to that of Western Europe insurance markets, and positive growth indicators, including rising employment and income rates, are in place. The market ishome to several large domestic providers, many of which have expanded throughout the Central andEastern Europe region, and some major multinationals have also entered the market, bringing capital andexpertise to the insurance segment. While premiums are expected to grow moving forward, we do notePoland's exposure to weakness in the eurozone which creates some uncertainty in the market.

Key Updates And Forecasts

- Poland's insurance market continues to attract investor interest from regional providers. EuroinsInsurance Group (EIG), a subsidiary of Eurohold Bulgaria, is reportedly investigating possibleacquisitions in Poland as part of strategies to develop a role as a leading provider in Central and EasternEurope.
