BMI View:
Investment into E&P is waning as major offshore drilling programmes have concluded, though field redevelopment projects continue over the short term. The Domino project was delayed by two years following a delayed FID target-date, pushing back an increase in gas production to 2022. Refinery output demand and fuels demand have improved on the back of lower oil prices.

Latest Updates And Key Forecasts

- We have pushed back first gas production from the Domino project to 2022, after recent company releases highlight FID will not be forthcoming until 2019. The project remains crucial for the country's long-term gas production potential and we still expect it will materialise within the forecast period.

- Transgaz received a EUR179mn grant from the EU for pipeline interconnectors with Bulgaria and Hungary. According to an October 2016 update, the gas interconnector to Bulgaria will be completed in November 2016.
