- Malaysia's tourism industry looks set to receive a boost having been named Asia's Leading Destination atthe 2015 World Travel Awards (Asia and Australia). 2015, with the country named Asia's LeadingDestination and Tourism Malaysia rewarded as the Leading Tourist Board in the region.

- The country is introducing online visa applications for seven major inbound tourism markets; from early2016 visitors from China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the United States and Canada will beeligible for e-Visa applications.
