Cold-storage warehouse is a detached building of a certain size, which contains special refrigerated coolers and various utility spaces.

Cold storage facilities occupied the largest share in the overall market, it was the main trend in the development of cold-storage warehouses market in 2010-2012, but their share is reduced. According to experts, this is due to market share gains cold-storage warehouses of logistics operators

In 2010, the share of cold storage facilities amounted to 70% and of cold-storage warehouses of logistics operators were more than 10%.

By 2012, the amount of cold storage facilities shrunk by 10%, while the share of cold-storage warehouses of logistics operators increased by 5%. The changes in other segments did not happen for 2 years:
• The proportion of specialized cold-storage warehouses amounted to 10%;
• The share of cold-storage warehouses of manufacturing companies was about 8%;
• The part of vegetable store cellars amounted to 2%.

In 2011, the largest market share was accounted for by Central Federal District - about 28% in physical terms (about 600 ths. sq. m.).

In recent years there has been steady growth in consumption of frozen foods and semi-finished products in Moscow and other regions, accordingly the demand for cold-storage warehouses increased dramatically.

In Central Federal District, cold-storage warehouses of class A and B were represented only in Moscow region. In the warehouses of these classes, the services for safe storage products are provided.
