CSR’s flagship solutions include BlueCore series Bluetooth platforms, UniFi series Wi-Fi solutions, and SiRFstar global positioning systems (GPS) solutions, which were added through the take over of SiRF Technology Holdings in June 2009. It operates in the US, Europe and Asia. It is headquartered in Cambridge, UK and employs about 1,350 people. The industry player recorded sales of USD 601.4 million during the financial year ended January 1, 2010 (FY2009), a decrease of 13.5% over 2008. The decline in sales was mainly due to the loss of a major customer, and an overall decline in the headset industry . However, the decline in sales was partially offset by the contribution from the SiRF take over . The operating loss of the industry player was USD 15.9 million in FY2009, compared to operating loss of USD 8.5 million in FY2008. Its net loss was USD 11.3 million in FY2009, compared to net loss of USD 6.9 million in FY 2008.
