- Tektronix’s presence continues to grow in North America (NA) and some parts of EMEA, which constitute 63% and 28% of its revenue, respectively. It also pursues opportunities in APAC and LATAM, which collectively make up 9% of its revenue.

Strategic direction
- Tektronix positions itself as a provider of service assurance and intelligence solutions to CSPs by placing its probe systems at the core of its offerings to deliver an end-to-end network view from RAN to the IMS.
- It differentiates itself with an ‘operate-retain-upsell’ strategy, which focuses on helping CSPs to use rich network data across various departments spanning network operations, customer care and marketing, to deliver high-quality customer experience, reduce churn and upsell services.
- It has made two strategic acquisitions – Arantech in 2009 and Newfield Wireless in 2013 – to take advantage of CSPs’ increased focus on CEM, which is leading CSPs to invest in service assurance, service management and probe systems.
- The acquisitions enabled Tektronix to provide CEM solutions that are enriched with real-time geolocation information. It also obtained radio frequency (RF), LTE and VoLTE
optimisation services and expertise through Newfield Wireless’s portfolio.
- It is focusing on expanding the application of its technology to major growth areas such as LTE deployments, network function virtualisation (NFV), converged IP and IMS
networks. It is also investing in big data solutions to enable CSPs to generate new revenue sources, and places strong emphasis on VoLTE assurance.
