Moreover, India has among the lowest per capita consumption of ceramic tiles in the world, with low penetration of tiles in urban market and a virtually untapped but highly potential rural market. All these factors, coupled with declining manufacturing competitiveness of China, are set to drive the tremendous growth expected in the Indian ceramic tiles market.
