This company, a part of the Ramco group was founded by P A C Ramaswamy Raja in 1961. From being in a small town of Rajapalayam, today the company has its presence felt at national level and now initiated its transformation into a Global company.
With a capacity of 6 million Tommes per annum the company is the sixth largest producer of cement in the country and also produces wind energy with an installed capacity of 45MW.
The Company operates in two segments, namely cement and power generation from windmills. The main product of the Company is Portland cement manufactured through five production facilities spread over South India It also produces ready mix concrete and dry mortar products. The Company's ready mix concrete division produced 44,501 cubic meters of concrete during the year ended March 31, 2010 . Its dry mortar division produced 23,508 tons of dry mortar during fiscal 2010. Its wind farm division generated 4116 lakh kilowatt hour during the same period.
