Based on an analysis of the global marketplace and its players (23 countries, 22 telcos profiled), this report examines fixed and mobile network CAPEX from 2008 to 2013, and analyses why the pace of investment picked up in 2013.

- Exchange rates (average 2013 exchange rate according to the International Monetary Fund, or IMF) are specified in the tab entitled ‘exchange rates’ and were applied throughout the period

Geographical coverage
- Five main regions Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Africa-Middle East.
- Countries within each region are listed below.
- European countries except Russia and Turkey, and North American countries as well as Australia, South Korea and Japan are considered the so-called advanced market countries of our panel. Other countries are considered emerging market countries.
