Introduction

These quarterly reports detail the number of subscribers and volume of revenues accruing to North American service providers in the four traditional segments of the residential consumer communication services market:
- Voice Services – Tracking data are provided for three categories of service: Telco-provided traditional wireline service, served over copper lines, often
referred to as plain old telephone service (POTS); Cableco-provided voice services, provided over fiber optic cable; and VoIP services delivered over the top of broadband connections.
- Video Services – Tracking data are provided for both cable and satellite residential television services. Overthe-top (OTT) video service tracking data for Netflix
and Hulu have been added this year.
- Broadband Services – Tracking data are provided for services delivered by DSL, cable, fiber to the pedestal or home (FTTX), and satellite.
- Wireless Services – Tracking data are provided for both postpaid and prepaid services.
