BMI View: Being a frontier region for oil and gas exploration, Cambodia does not have any provenreserves or production. A deferral of development at KrisEnergy's Block A, which is the most progressivedevelopment in the country, prompted us to remove our forecast of 80mn bbl of proven oil reserves in 2016and for first oil in 2018. The Cambodian government confirmed that exploration is inactive in licensedareas, which reinforces our bearish outlook for Cambodia's upstream sector.Major trends and developments in Cambodia's oil and gas sector:

- Cambodia remains purely an exploration play without any production. A deferral of development atKrisEnergy's Block A in Cambodia has prompted us to remove our forecast of 80mn bbl of proven oilreserves in 2016 and for first oil in 2018.

- The Cambodian government confirmed that exploration is inactive in licensed areas, which reinforces ourbearish outlook for Cambodia's upstream sector. As of mid-2016, only two offshore blocks remainlicensed - after licenses for three blocks were terminated, and the license for one block have beenrelinquished in recent years. Of the two licensed onshore blocks, only Block 15 is active, and explorationon that block is also delayed.

- We have revised our refined products production forecast to the downside this quarter. The refinery willcome online in 2019 at the earliest (compared to initial plans of 2018) and will have a capacity of40,000b/d compared to initial plans of 100,000b/d.

- Cambodia will remain a net refined fuels importer, as its first oil refinery is set to commence operationsin 2019 with a smaller capacity than originally planned.
