In the second quarter of 2015, North American cable and satellite continued to serve an estimated % of residential video subscribers; although, IPTV and OTT services are gaining. Revenues are growing for all providers. In the US, OTT video providers Netflix and Hulu added a total of million subscribers in 2Q 2015; while IPTV providers gained subscribers (a record second quarter low since 2007). Meanwhile, cable and satellite providers lost and subscribers, respectively. In Canada, IPTV subscriber numbers increased by in 2Q 2015; while satellite subscribers declined by ; and cable lost subscribers, the greatest quarterly net loss since 2007.
