Seed Treatment is the process of treating seeds with chemicals or organic substances before planting. This treatment is done both in agriculture and horticulture, in order to protect seeds from potential pathogens. It is an eco-friendly use of pesticides and fungicides as they can be used in very small quantities in the treatment process.

This market consists of crop protection chemicals or agrochemicals specific to the seeds. Pesticides are generally classified into insecticides, fungicides and others, such as herbicides. These chemicals have active ingredients that kill or repel pathogens. They are used in different concentrations according to the requirements. Development in bio-farming techniques is driving the demand for the Seed Treatment Market as well the growing demand for good quality seeds. Technological advances in the field of seed treatment are also another driving factor.
