Following the EUR10bn acquisition of Ziggo by Liberty Global in 2014 and UPC rebranded as part of the Ziggo brand, the company is experiencing losses due to harmonization issues in the post-merger entity.
Ovum research shows that Netflix will have 1.34 million subscribers by the end of 2015. It has improved its position via a partnership with KPN to host its streaming services on the KPN platform.
KPN has launched an OTT live and on-demand streaming service, Play, which offers 22 linear TV channels, as well as three HBO premium channels and HBO On Demand.
