About Satellite-Based Augmentation Systems

SBASs such as WAAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, and MSAS are systems that support regional or wide-area augmentation, through the use of multiple satellite-based broadcast. SBAS messages are broadcast through geostationary satellites that cover vast areas. These systems also comprise multiple ground-based stations that take measurements from one or more GNSS satellites.
