- Marlboro has been the dominant brand in Spain for many years and in the year to November 2015, Marlboro's lead stood at 2.56 percentage points, up from the 1.94 percentage point differential recorded a year earlier.

- Domestically-made cigarettes would have to include 1% Ukrainian-grown tobacco in 2017, 5% in 2019, 20%in 2020, and 30% in 2024.

- China is expected to set up a cigarette manufacturing plant in Harare following discussions between the Zimbabwean government and officials from China's State Tobacco Monopoly Administration. China is the major consumer of Zimbabwean tobacco.
