These mineral salts comprises of various salts such as potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, potassium lactate and calcium chloride, with hydrolyzed vegetable protein, nucleotides and trehalose as well. Such ingredients typically find application on a combo basis or as blends that can be added to food products. A few of these ingredients are also being utilized in the form of masking ingredients that help in avoiding the bitter or metallic aftertastes of certain foods. Versatility in application has provided the requisite impetus to these health promoting products.
