BMI View: We expect positive growth across Singapore's freight modes and shipping sector in 2016, in linewith robust Asian demand and recovering European economies. The port of Singapore will remain theworld's biggest transhipment hub and benefit from improved trade relations. Air freight will receivenegative pressure from a slowdown in the electronic manufacturing industry but is supported by strongdomestic demand and growing ecommerce while road freight continues to be the main facilitator oftransport for domestic industries.
